Meet the Creator
Hi Y'all! My name is Alissa and I am a GIA Graduate Gemologist and jewelry industry professional of 15 years. Being the daughter of award-winning jeweler, Ziad H. Noshie of Almaza Jewelers, who has been in the business over 55 years, I grew up in the jewelry business and have followed in my father’s footsteps with my love of jewelry, design, and manufacturing.
After graduating from LSU with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship, I immediately began working in the family business. The idea for Casual Carats® came about when I felt the need for a casual ring that was safe to wear to the gym. Silicone rings were growing in popularity yet everything on the market was very plain and BORING. I wanted a little bling in my gym ring, so I set out to make a casual, yet luxurious ring that would be a nice stand-in for when wearing an engagement ring was not appropriate or safe.
